Wednesday, May 6th, 2015 – 6pm

1) Approval Of Agenda
Motion to approve agenda: Dave Russell

2) Approval of Minutes - VBIA Meeting 2014 AGM
Minutes were approved without addendum or omissions.

3) New Business
New Chairperson – Nomination was made as follows:
Chairperson: Doug Shier, Sullivan’s Pharmacy
Vote to approve the Board Member as nominated.

Peterborough Food Bank Donation ($200)

Website / Branding
Motion to approve a Website / Branding Creation: Anna Russell
Seconded by: Susan Neale
Susan Neale to check with Tourism Board for Linking with Website with Tourism Board
4) Report from Councillor Keith Riel
- Work will be commencing in May for Park at Burnham and Hunter Street East
- The Tennis Courts at Quaker will be receiving funding to retain its use, as a joint effort with Kawartha Credit Union and the City of Peterborough
- Ashburnham Drive rejuvenation is expected to span over the course of 2 years
2015 Phase will be from Maria Street to Marsdale Drive
2016 Phase will be from Lansdowne Street to Marsdale Drive
- Beavermead Park will be receiving improved Amenities to prompted Camping which along with the Canoe Museum should drive new visitors to East City
- The Raised Trail at the end of Burnham Street is still closed until CP Rail and the City of Peterborough can sort through location issues
- The Bridge Trail will be closed for 1 month for concrete removal / correction in the month of July – which will not have additional costs to the City of Peterborough
5) Landscaping / Beautification
Planters
Planting will commence on May 31st, 2015 – Watering from then until the City of Peterborough takes over in June will be completed by Melanie Durcott..
Tree Removal / Replacement Schedule
Both Agenda items will be address by Keith Riel with the appropriate departments within City of Peterborough
Mac’s / Shell Garden
Motion to approve a the VBIA undertaking to have the garden maintained which has been estimated at $300 : Anna Russell

Secretary / Treasurer to write a letter confirming consent of Property Owner
6) Other Business
- New Garbage Can Schedule
- Keith Riel to check with the appropriate departments within City of Peterborough and coordinate with Susan Neale
- SnowFest Feedback
- Recommended having a VBIA Representative at planning meeting (August)
7) Set Date for Next Board Meeting
Tuesday, July 21, 2015
